My ore has three metals: gold, copper and iron as a highest concentrate. I tried to extract gold, didn't work out. I prepared hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite solution (bleach), ratio of 2 to 1. After 4 hours added smb expecting precipitation . Where am I going wrong? اقرأ المزيد1. Introduction. Conventional treatment of copper–gold concentrates involves smelting, converting, and electrorefining to produce a copper cathode product. Sulfur in the copper concentrates is oxidized to sulfur dioxide during smelting and converting and is normally used to make byproduct sulfuric acid.
اقرأ المزيدThe recovery of gold via CIL enhanced gold extraction by 15%, but had no obvious effect on copper extraction. This study provides an alternative and promising cyanide-free leaching process to traditional cyanidation for complex gold–copper ores, concentrates and tailings.
اقرأ المزيدGold processing - Refining, Smelting, Purifying: Gold extracted by amalgamation or cyanidation contains a variety of impurities, including zinc, copper, silver, and iron. Two methods are commonly employed for purification: the Miller process and the Wohlwill process. The Miller process is based on the fact that virtually all the impurities present in …
اقرأ المزيدThe Mercury Problem in Artisanal Gold Mining. Mercury-based artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) causes more mercury pollution than any other human activity. 1 In this practice, mercury metal is used to extract gold from ore as a stable amalgam. The amalgam is then heated to evaporate the mercury and isolate the gold.
اقرأ المزيدThe common extraction process is to enrich silver into lead, zinc, and copper concentrates, and then extract silver by smelting. However, in the smelting process, the silver in the lead concentrate enters the crude lead with the main metal, the silver in the copper concentrate enters the matte.
اقرأ المزيد•. Copper – ethylenediamine – thiosulfate leaching is described as an alternative green way of gold extraction. •. Under optimal conditions, a gold extraction efficiency of 80.3% is achieved. •. The developed low-cost and environmentally friendly method is almost as effective as cyanidation. Abstract.

اقرأ المزيدThe copper(II) ions are removed again from the organic solvent by reaction with fresh sulfuric acid, producing a much more concentrated copper(II) sulfate solution than before. Electrolysis of the new solution. Copper(II) ions are deposited as copper on the cathode (for the electrode equation, see under the purification of copper below).
اقرأ المزيدUsing available techniques, some of the gold can be recovered directly as a gold concentrate, using, for example, gravity techniques in the grinding circuit, but usually, significant quantities remain within the copper concentrate. Gold can be present in the copper concentrate as free gold particles or in solid solution in the chalcopyrite itself.
اقرأ المزيدThe flotation enrichment of gold-bearing copper minerals and pyrite, and the subsequent gold and silver extraction from the concentrate via roasting and pressure oxidation, are widely used in the gold-mining industry. This process involves conventional roasting treatment and is a mature and stable method for gold and silver extraction, but it

اقرأ المزيدThe object of concentration was, of course, to obtain a concentrate containing as much gold, copper, and iron, and as little silica as possible, commensurate with a good extraction of the gold, because it was found that the less silica the concentrate contained the poorer was the extraction of gold.
