I passed over a thread that talked about electric pump placement. Conflicting reviews. I have the Holley Red, feeding a Street Avenger, MSD, you get the idea. I have the pump mounted slightly above the tank, ( filter before the pump as per the Holley instructions ) but have read this is not the best setup. What do you guys think.

EFI in tank pump to carb? I have an in tank pump and an Aeromotive regulator to a Holley carb. It needs a return line to the tank but the pumps are quieter than a remote pump and the regulator can be used with an EFI if I decide to go to that later on and replace the Holley with an aftermarket EFI setup.

Interesting that the electric pump was used so early. The Wills was certainly an "engineers" car with all its unusual advancements. Now the big question. Why didn't All automotive manufacturers go over to the electric pump sooner? The vacuum tank was still in popular use till 1932.
